After looking into the EPA's new proposal, it's looking a lot more serious than a lot of people are taking it. Cars are a huge outlet for me and I literally don't know what would happen if they were taken away from me.

im 16. i bought a car 2 months ago, its an audi a4 b6, its unmodefied and im not yet planing on modifying it yet since i dont have the money yet, i may buy a seperate vehicle for modifying in the future. my life has been rough till now, got bullied 3 years from 3rd to 6th grade and was the quiet kid till 9th grade. never went outside always stayed inside the house playing videogames all day long. i was living with my mother alone even though my stepdad now comes every weekend wich makes things better by alot. They bought a house so we can all live together, that is what we are looking forward to for a while now. Especially in those corona lockdowns i was inside, i was cut of from the outside, i took it so far with playing videogames and built up depressions and stuff. i felt im a misfit, that i am useless, that im just 'a waste of food', all those things that you dont want to feel. on top of that comes that last year my grandpa died and he was like a father to me and i loved him so much. that wound still is deep. Things are getting better since i bought that car, i am so much in love with it. i am not allowed to drive yet since i will start driving lessons in august this year but i was already allowed to take a few turns with it and get used to driving a manual. it makes me so happy and gives me so much relief. even if i wasnt able to drive on roads it gave me such a feeling of freedom, of me feeling like i am alive. It kinda feels that this car saved my life. I am not living in the US however i hope for you americans that this will be canceled. this could destroy so much hope, fun, friendship and lives!

It is understandable, older cars, with performance modifications, do produce a lot of junk air, but banning converting cars into racecars sounds lame and irrelevant. They should instead create a rule for everyone, or like a limit for emissions, so you would be allowed to do modifications, but also responsible for some ecological impact, so idk, you would be required to mount filters, or only use some specific combination of modifications. Like muffler filters, in my country, any diy modification is banned, so rip, but i hope you guys will do something to fight it :)

I have a dream... Since I was 3 years old. I'm q HUGE Porsche fan and most of all, a car lover. My first Word was "car". When I was 3, I took a picture with a '00 Pastel yellow Boxster S. That is my biggest dream... to have the pleasure of drivint such cars, with petrol engines, with noise, with emotion. My car is a Clio and he is my project car(currently stock), but everytime I get into my car, I instantly feel good.

Here's the way around it. When you do take it to a shop for a emissions inspection, put back on the stock parts that would cause you to not pass. This law has been around for a long time in Pennsylvania. My Integra wouldn't pass inspection, so I took it to a guy and he slapped a sticker on it. The loophole for that law is if the car was older than 10 years, the parts just had to be there. Didn't matter if it was aftermarket. The only reason the Diesel Brothers were fined was they were taking a part off of the vehicle. As long as you're not running straight pipes or hollowing out your cat or muffler, you're fine. They just want to clean up the air. There will be a loophole to whatever they pass. In Alabama we don't even do emission testing. Some states do, some states don't. It's really up to your state Governor. Also - Supra is gorgeous. I don't know every single thing about cars even though I was a Nissan tech, but I'd totally want to be your friend. Seem like a real stand up guy.

I was scared of this, I'm 15 about to be 16 and just got my car, I want to build my 346 and then a sil80, and then a Toyota chaser, even when I was just 10 watching my brother and his friends building their cars was like the coolest thing ever to me, and ever since I was 12 after hearing it feel like summer. Couldn't agree more. The electric cars that are being literally forced upon us are also much worse for the environment than our gas and diesel cars. Sure they may not pollute directly but they rely on the energy grid and guess how the grid generates most all of our energy? That's right, burning of pollutants (oh and nuclear). Not to mention you know all the manufacturing, heavy metals, acids, that batteries need to function. Just scrarching the surface here but there's a definite agenda to all this. I mean if EVs were better (and could go the same distance) we wouldn't need tax incentives to buy them right? They would just naturally replace the current vehicles. Maybe the EPA isn't so much concerned with the environment? Just my 2 cents.

There were times in days were i felt like the light in me was dying, i gave up, lost all my friends, failed school, failed in everything you know? but there was always something that made me happy. No matter the countless times i tried to forget about it and leave everything behind it was always there. Cars, believe it or not. Listening to the cars exhaust, changing the rims look, wraps, lights, slammed or lifted. Its something that we do to make ourselves happier, our cars is the only acceptance we got when no one did. They talked to us without talking, theres just something about being strapped into a seat and driving off in the roads, it makes everything go blind from the moment we step inside to the moment we leave. We don't do this just because we want to? We do it because thats the only thing holding us from this world. People can say countless times that cars are horrible, never depend on it to help you, its junk. That junk you say is worthless, means more than the universe to us. Ive been to car meets, they're happy. Their smile isn't just a look, one thing i learned about being alive is that your always going to be trapped into something. School, toxic relationships, toxic homes, etc. But when we step into our personal built cars we leave that all behind because for just that second and moment, were us. People express themselves in different shapes and sizes, Clothes, music, hobbies, our ways of expressing ourselves just happen to be in our cars. Taking cars away will just be taking lives out of others. I have no clue how many people have signed this but just know your trying to build a better future not only for yourself, but for the children with dreams no one has the right to take children's hopes and dreams away they are the future. I called her out once and others joined in because these cars were stock mustangs, Lamborghinis, hellcats/demons, and the most that some might have had done to them was a tune and the cars are just loud naturally. It’s people like her who will propose laws like these and nothing will change for them because the loud cars will still exist since a lot are not even modified.

EPA don't care, investors either, by 2030 there wont be any petrol/diesel car being produced and you wont be able to buy/sell petrol/diesel cars in the states... that's starting in 9 years... Lookup ''Phase-out of fossil fuel vehicles'' on google if you don't know about it yet. But yea kiss your mods goodbye sema won;t win over investors.
