No the Prior Carbon kit is legit FULL carbon fibre. Kamp-Lintfort (Prior Designs main facility) is a couple of towns next to mine. The craftsman ship is crazy good as well as the quality. So for Prior Design the thing you said about that one carbon layer is not true.

This may be a controversial opinion, but if I pay 13k+ on a bodykit then the manufacturer should make damn sure that anything short of an act of God the kit is not going to get damaged (i.e. parts packaged and shipped with some type of wooden structure, and not just cardboard and bubble wrap). We all know that UPS, FEDEX, and USPS don't give a damn about packages, but it would be nice if the manufacturers would care about the well being of their products getting delivered to consumers who paid a pretty penny on them. Just my little rant.

Proper carbon fibre panels get vaccum packed then put into an autoclave to force and pressure cooked for a couple of days forcing the resin into the fibres .... Only carbon for show is done like this as it has limited strength

Most parts are overlay on fiberglass as shown in the kit Evan purchased. Full carbon parts can also be made with prepeg
