Haha Canadian here, just want to say glad you’re making the most of it and thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Texas. I’m sure y’all are taking a lot of criticism from people used to snow, when we really just need to support the people out there. Sure Evan has a great attitude towards it but there’s people being killed and their homes destroyed. The least we can do it send a prayer their way.

The AWD is king on ice/snow roads. But without any good winter tires on any vehicals in those conditions. It's very dangerous to drive them. I had an Audi S4 5-cylinder turbo 1992 a couple of winters in the early 2000s. It where so awesome with a fresh set of Continental studded winter tires. Yeas in Sweden we still have studded winter tires on the roads during the winter months. Actually it's a law to have winter tires with the snowflake on the tire during first of december to last of march. When it's winter roads here. The big problem with the Audi where it had coilovers and where pretty low. If I would have the oem suspension still I would have swapped over to them during the winter months LOL. But man it's just an animal on ice/ snow roads with awesome winter tires. Now I have a Hyundai i40 1.7L turbo diesel DCT 2016. And the DCT transmission sucks on ice/snow roads. I have new not studded winter tires on it. And still had problem to get stuck with it. Got a messeges on the display that the transmission where overheated. Man it smelled bad with burned clutches LOL. Have been liking the DCT transmission so far but with around 12" of snow coming at once. It sucked bad. I have a Ford Focus manual transmission with non studded winter tires as well. And had not any problems at all with it. The anti-spin on the DCT transmission does not work good at all. It where a new experience for sure. Can be that something is broken with the anti-spin. But I took it off and the DCT transmission and how it works don't fit to drive on slippery surfaces it seems to. And I would love to have a truck with AWD and proper winter tires when the high amounts of snow comes. So you don't get stuck cause it's to low LOL.

The reason the truck didn't start was because when the weather gets cold there should be a plug somewhere by the bumper that you can plug a power cord into and it actually heats the block of the engine. But if you dont do that then you have to let the glowplugs warm up more

Hey Evan! Whenever you want to slide the truck, leave it on 2WD and turn off the traction all the way. It lets you slide better and get great angle. When you’re on 4WD, it slides but it’s better to put in 2WD🤙🏽
